There are many types of mushrooms such as the culinary mushrooms we are used to using on an everyday basis, there are medicinal mushrooms such as Chaga and then there are mushrooms with psychedelic properties.

Today I am going to give you a high-level guide to medicinal mushrooms which are mushrooms known for their healing compounds.

Although Cordyceps has gained more popularity in recent years it’s one of the lesser-known medicinal mushrooms. However, this medicinal mushroom is a fatigue-fighting powerhouse!

Lion’s Mane 

Have you heard of lion’s mane? Have you ever seen a photo of what it looks like. Go Google it right now because you will definitely know where it earned its cool name.

  • Used in Chinese medicine for digestive upset

Remember, although these mushrooms have been used for years in traditional ways, there is still a lot of research that needs to be done. Some research is concrete however some are still being studied for these potential benefits.

Some people swear by them, HOWEVER...they are quite powerful so I highly recommend you work with a practitioner especially before taking them in supplement form. Some can even interfere with certain medications.
