Roasted Red Pepper Grilled Cheese

If you want to take your grilled cheese to the next level then you have to try this Roasted Red Pepper Grilled Cheese. This super tasty and simple red pepper grilled cheese sandwich which is also vegan and vegetarian friendly!


Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 red pepper pepper sliced
  • 1.5 tbsp oil divided
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 cup pine buts
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • sea salt and pepper to taste
  • water as needed

Sandwich ingredients

  • 1 tbsp vegan butter or ghee
  • bread of choice
  • vegan cheese
  • prosciutto optional


  • Preheat oven to 400 F
  • Place bell pepper on a baking sheet with 1/2 tbsp oil, salt and pepper 
  • Bake for about 30 minutes or until they start to brown
  • Remove from oven and add to a food processor with the rest of the ingredients and additional salt and pepper to taste 
  • Add water if needed 
  • Once the sauce is near ready, heat a frying pan with vegan butter or ghee and add two slices of bread and cheese. Once the cheese begins to melt add prosciutto (optional)
  • Once the bread is brown and the cheese is completely melted, spread on the red pepper sauce and enjoy!
