Healthy Plantain Chips

I love plantain chips but don't love the processed oils that they use in packaged options so I created this Healthy Plantain Chips. Plantain chips are something you can easily make at home and they hardly take any prep time. Give them a try and serve them with hummus, other dips or eat them plain!


  • 2 plantains, sliced thinly
  • 1.5 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder


  1. Preheat oven to 400F
  2. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper
  3. Carefully mix ingredients in a bowl
  4. Place plantain slices on a baking sheet
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Watch for burning. Time could change based on how thin you sliced them.
